  Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney’s excellent recent form has led Gunners’ supporters to start comparing him to other left-backs in the Premier League.

  With Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney in such excellent form at the moment, we have decided to assess his Premier League performances, alongside two other prominent left-backs. Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell are also regarded as being the among the best left-sided fullbacks in the league so we have opted to compare their displays alongside Tierney’s.

New Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly hoping to bring a new centre-back and midfielder to north London during the January window.  That’s according to ESPN, cited by the Daily Star, who claim that the Spaniard is keen on both Juventus defender Merih Demiral and Atalanta midfielder Dejan Kulusevski.

Whilst he’d likely cost Arsenal a pretty penny, next year would be the perfect time to bring the German star to the Emirates Stadium. Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce were also believed to have short-listed Mustafi, but after signing Adil Rami on a free transfer they have dropped their interest. Turkish-Football report that “Mustafi was among several defensive targets and that enquries were made to the defender’s representatives and Arsenal”.
