Mesut Ozil returns as Arsenal provisional squad to face Fulham is revealed

The gunners will tomorrow welcome Fulham at the Emirates Stadium and it is going to be a must win match for Unai Emery’s men because Manchester United has started trailing them and any slip up would see them go into the sixth position on the Premier League table. Mesut Ozil missed Arsenal’s match against Liverpool on Saturday because he had pain in his knee but he will be available for the match against Fulham tomorrow. The gunners didn’t get any injuries in their defeat to Liverpool except Shkodran Mustafi who was substituted at halftime at the Anfield Stadium at the weekend but the German centre back is also fit ahead of the next match. So here’s Arsenal provisional squad to face Fulham. Cech, Leno, Martinez, Lichtsteiner, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Sokratis, Medley, Mustafi, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Ramsey, Torreira, Guendouzi, Elneny, Iwobi, Ozil, Saka, Aubameyang, Lacazette, Nketiah. Note: Provisional squads are available squads ahead of a match after removing the injur...

3-4-1-2: Koscielny & Ramsey start | Arsenal’s strongest line-up to face Fulham

Arsenal have to get back to winning ways following our Liverpool horror-show when we take on Fulham at the Emirates on Tuesday afternoon. This is the line-up I’d like Unai Emery to select… Leno may have conceded five goals at Anfield and any goalkeeper will be disappointed after such a score-line but he wasn’t the core problem at the weekend. The German certainly needs to find his best form again but I’d stick with him for now. Defence: Koscielny, Sokratis, Mustafi We’ve gone with a back four recently but I’d revert to a three against Fulham. It looks like Monreal is unlikely to be fit tomorrow so Koscielny could come in to start after being named on the bench against Liverpool. Sokratis had a poor game at Anfield but he’s been our best defender this season [which isn’t hard] and he should obviously keep his place against Fulham. Mustafi was woeful against Liverpool and he’s not good enough for Arsenal but with Holding out for the season, we’re going to have to rely on him...

Arsenal handed huge fitness boost as 2 key players pictured at London Colney

Arsenal have been handed a timely double fitness boost as Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal have been pictured out on the training pitches at London Colney this afternoon. Bellerin hasn’t featured since suffering a calf injury during our 3-2 defeat at Southampton earlier this month and he’s been forced to miss the last four matches in all competitions. However, the full-back is close to making his comeback as he’s been out on the training pitches this afternoon. Monreal on the other hand has started just two games since early October after struggling to overcome a niggling hamstring injury but the left-back has also been snapped in training at London Colney today. It appears Bellerin and Monreal trained away from the first team doing individual work with Robert Pires but it’s not clear whether they joined in later with the main group. The defensive pair will no doubt be assessed ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash with Fulham but I don’t think Unai Emery and his medi...

‘They’re below his level’ PSG star Adrien Rabiot rejects move to this Premier League side

Wantaway PSG star Adrien Rabiot has rejected a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window as he believes the club are ‘below’ his level. This is according to a report fro EPSN FC, the midfielder – whose contract expires this summer – has been linked with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs in recent weeks and it seems as though a move to Tottenham certainly isn’t on the cards for the Frenchman. A source close to the player said that they believe a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side would be ‘below’ his level. Since Rabiot decided not to sign a new contract with the French giants he has been frozen out by manager Thomas Tuchel. It’s now understood that the Parisians are ready to offload the 23-year-old in for a cut-price fee in the January transfer window – there’s little point in them keeping Rabiot for the second half of the season just for him to leave on a free transfer in the summer. According to the report, Rabiot will be available for a...

Arsenal £27m-rated midfielder appeared on Real Madrid radar

Lucas Torreira has emerged as a possible transfer target for Real Madrid, who are the favourites to land the Uruguay international, who joined the Emirates club from Sampdoria for around £26.5 million in July. Until Sunday when Unai Emery’s men lost to Southampton, Lucas Torreira had helped his new club to a 22 match unbeaten run in all competitions. The Gunners have added some much-needed steel to their game under the new boss, and Lucas Torreira has been one of the principal reasons for the improvements. After Patrick Vieira left the club, fans have been crying out for a midfield general type of player to replace him, and the summer arrival fits the bill. And his great form has attracted the interest of some of Real Madrid, who have struggled for form this season after Cristiano Ronaldo’s and Zinedine Zidane’s departures. While the likes of Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro are all still going strong in Los Blancos midfield, adding Lucas Torreira to the ranks...

Arsenal V Fulham Team News, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Arsenal have the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways following their capitulation to Liverpool on Saturday. The Gunners face strugglers Fulham tomorrow afternoon. Claudio Ranieri’s side will go into the game, though, with some added confidence after their last-gasp win in their relegation six-pointer against Huddersfield at the weekend. Unai Emery will still be without Mesut Ozil who was unavailable against Liverpool due to a knee problem. The Spaniard says he doesn’t know how long the midfielder will be out for. Nacho Monreal (thigh) also remains a doubt for the game, with Hector Bellerin unlikely to feature either due to a calf strain. Henrikh Mkhitaryan (foot), Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin), Rob Holding (knee), Emile Smith Rowe (groin) and Danny Welbeck (ankle) all remain out of contention. Fulham have a much shorter injury list. Centre-back Alfie Mawson is a major doubt with a knee injury while Andre Zambo-Anguissa is suffering with a knock. Calum C...

Premier League: Team of the week

The first Filipino to play in the Premier League, Cardiff’s Neil Etheridge made several smart saves as Cardiff surprisingly won at Leicester. His save from James Maddison’s penalty, his third spot-kick save of the season, ensured a clean sheet and a vital 1-0 win for Neil Warnock’s side. A towering presence at the back, the defender also got himself on the scoresheet with a powerful headed goal for Wolves’ equaliser. Unai Emery Identifies Possible Replacement For Danny Welbeck

Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck got injured on Thursday when the gunners faced Sporting Lisbon and the English international is currently at the hospital, but the North Londoners are still in the dark on how much time he will spend on the sick-bed. Most reports say that he might be ruled out for six months yet he is current contract at the Emirates Stadium will also be expiring soon. Arsenal is also disheartened with the injury of Danny Welbeck but it is a club which needs to move on, and the Metro now claims that the gunners are ready to sign a replacement for the English international because the former Manchester United star was a back up striker for Unai Emery incase Aubameyang and Lacazette get injured or booked and even for squad rotation. Nicolas Pepe of Lille puts his side 3-1 ahead during the Ligue 1 match between Lille and Saint Etienne at Stade Pierre Mauroy on October 6, 2018 in Lille, France. Report: Unai Emery gets told to pay £72million to sign his transfer target

The January transfer window is around the corner and the Arsenal fans have already demanded for new signings from Unai Emery since their team has not been impressive in the last three matches. The gunners are currently out of the Carabao Cup, fifth on the Premier League table, yet to play FA Cup and through to the UEFA Europa League round of 32. Arsenal’s target this season is to finish in the Premier League top four and they currently haven’t been able to get in those UEFA Champions League spots so Unai Emery will be looking to bring in a new player. Most football analysts say that the gunners need a winger and it’s currently reported that Unai Emery wants to bring Lille star Nicolas Pepe to the Emirates Stadium. Nicolas Pepe has been impressive in the French Ligue one and most of the Arsenal fans hope to see Unai Emery convince him to come to Arsenal in the winter transfer window. Lille have told all the interested clubs the amount needed to sign Nicolas Pepe and it’...

Nicolas Pepe responds to Unai Emery’s interest in him

The gunners are currently on the hunt for a winger after the first 20 Premier League games made it obvious that Unai Emery meeds a winger since they already have Lacazette and Aubameyang who have lacked crosses in most matches this season. The gunners were linked with Nicolas Pepe in the summer transfer window but the Ivorian international never made a move to the Emirates Stadium for unknown reasons but most reports claim that Arsenal had no money to fund the transfer. The gunners have once again been linked with a move for the Lille winger as most reports claim that Unai Emery wants Nicolas Pepe at the Emirates Stadium in this upcoming Winter transfer window. Lille winger Nicolas Pepe has been impressive in the French Ligue one this season and would be a phenomenal player at Arsenal but unfortunately for the gooners, the player has said that he believes that he will finish this 2018/19 campaign in France amid the interest from Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery. “To end the...

Unai Emery reveals who to blame for Arsenal’s defensive problems

The gunners were yesterday welcomed at the Anfield Stadium by Liverpool and Arsenal conceded five goals there as they have always done in the past. Most of the Arsenal fans were scared of Liverpool but had faith that they wouldn’t concede many goals under Unai Emery who vowed to try to end these ridiculous defeats. The gunners started off the match poorly because they were always getting counter attacked by Liverpool but they surprisingly went ahead after Maitland-Niles finished off a cross from Alex Iwobi. That goal was unexpected but Liverpool came from behind to score four goals in the first half. Most of those goals were embarrassing for the defenders, for example the second goal, Lucas Torreira lost the ball and Firmino got past three defenders to give the Reds the lead.

Bernd Leno Fails To Keep A Clean Sheet

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno played his first full 90 minutes on Thursday but he however failed to keep a clean sheet against Ukrainian side Vorskla. Arsenal’s match win over Vorskla on Thursday night was highly awaited by most supporters of the gunners because they wanted to see some of their stars in the second team in action for the first time with one example being Bernd Leno. Bernd Leno arrived at the Emirates Stadium in the summer transfer window this year but the German goalkeeper has failed to become Unai Emery’s first choice goalkeeper and has been on the bench in their last five Premier League matches. Unai Emery decided to give him a chance on Thursday night and put him in the starting eleven that faced Ukrainian club Vorskla and the new goalkeeper was hoping to use this match as a way to prove to the boss that he should be his first choice, the gunners have failed to keep a clean sheet this season and Leno was about to change that against Vorskla but the Ar...

Stephan Lichtsteiner To Play Two Matches In October

Arsenal right back Stephan Lichtsteiner has failed to take over the right back position from Hector Bellerin so here are the two matches he will only play in October. The gunners signed Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer from Juventus and he is a veteran right back who has been outstanding in the Italian Serie A but he has however been benched by Unai Emery this season. Even though it must be odd but it’s Stephan Lichtsteiner that is grateful to Arsenal for signing him not that the gunners are grateful that a player of his calibre agreed to come to the Emirates Stadium, he also said that he is happy with the North Londoners for giving a chance to an old player like him to play for them. Arsenal’s first choice right back is Hector Bellerin and the former Juventus star has failed to win over that position because he hasn’t had great performances in the few matches he has played so far. So let’s take a look at the two matches which he will take part in. Sporting Lis...

Bernd Leno reveals why injured defenders are not why he conceded five goals

The gunners lost 5-1 to Liverpool at the Anfield Stadium on Saturday and it must have been a devastating moment for Arsenal’s new goalkeeper Bernd Leno because he conceded five goals in a single match for the first time in an Arsenal shirt. Bernd Leno arrived at the Emirates Stadium in July. Bernd Leno was not Unai Emery’s first choice goalkeeper when the season begun but Petr Cech got injured and the German goalkeeper impressed hence retaining that title. Bernd Leno was in the starting eleven that faced Liverpool yesterday and he conceded five goals, some of the Arsenal fans and football pundits believe that the German conceded many goals because his best performing defenders like Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Rob Holding were not available. Most of the Arsenal fans still trust Bernd Leno but they feel that the injuries costed them the game because they conceced embarrassing goals. The Arsenal goalkeeper has said that he doesn’t agree that injuries are why he conceded fiv...

Report: Hector Bellerin’s return date revealed

Hector Bellerin has been a regular starter for Arsenal this season but he has in the past few weeks missed many matches because he got injured in their game against Southampton a few weeks back. The gunners have missed him in their last four matches because they have won just once without him and were even knocked out of the Carabao Cup. Hector Bellerin’s role in the Arsenal squad might have been underrated but his absence has shown why the North Londoners need him because they have missed those dangerous runs by him and he would put up a better performance than Stephan Lichtsteiner who is slow and Maitland-Niles who can be excused because he is played out of position. Hector Bellerin has a calf strain and Physio Room has confirmed that the Spanish right back will be returning on 9th of January, 2019. It’s really a long time before Hector Bellerin returns because the gunners will have played against Fulham and Blackpool but luckily, these two games will proba...

Arsenal: Unai Emery gets told to sell four players

Arsenal recently lost 5-1 to Liverpool and their boss Unai Emery has been advised to sell at least four players in the January transfer window. Arsenal is under the management of a new person for the first time in 21 years and everyone is looking forward to seeing how the gunners will perform without Arsene Wenger who was believed to be the problem. Unai Emery took charge of Arsenal in May and he went on an unbeaten run of 22 games which was later ended by Southampton. Ever since then, the gunners have failed to get back on their feet and even lost to their arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup hence getting knocked out, got a win against Burnley but then later surprisingly made a 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion. But what was more painful is their 5-1 defeat to Liverpool who totally outclassed them and exposed their poor defence. The January transfer window is around the corner and a month ago, the Arsenal fans were calling on the club to sign a ...

Aaron Ramsey offered £7m-a-year by Juventus… but could lose out on millions if Arsenal ace struggles for game time with Serie A giants

JUVENTUS have offered Aaron Ramsey a £138,000-a-week, four-year contract, according to reports. It is understood the Welshman, 28, would earn more than £7million-per-year if he plays 70 per cent of matches for the Serie A side. According to Tuttosport, the base salary would be £5.8million with the midfielder netting £6.3million if he plays half of the matches. He would only get the full pay if he were to force his way into the talented side and feature in 70 per cent of the Serie A giant's games. The reigning Italian champions are believed to be in pole position to land the midfielder. He is expected to leave  Arsenal  next year after 11 seasons with the club - he could be sold in January, agree a pre-contract agreement next month or leave for free in the summer.

Former Arsenal Youth Prospect Yassin Fortune 'Turned Down' Four-Year Contract Extension

Former Arsenal youngster Yassin Fortune has revealed why he quit the club over the summer after he was offered a four-year extension to his previous deal which expired last summer.  The Gunners beat rivals Manchester United for the signature of the French Under-20 international back in 2015 for a fee of £3m. However, Fortune failed to make a first team appearance for the club and that was ultimately the reason for his departure, as he left to play first team football.  According to Foot Mercato (via  the Daily Star ), Fortune said: "Arsenal offered me a four-year extension but I wanted to enter professional football. "Arsenal is a great club, but I needed playing time. I had to play, and I preferred to leave.  "I spoke with Per Mertesacker which made me think very hard. He wanted me to absolutely stay.  "But I felt the best solution was to leave". This campaign the 19-year-old has made 12 first-team appearances for ...
