All the Arsenal fans think Kieran Tierney’s a future captain and he’s brilliant. He’s on a level with a [Patrick] Van Aanholt or a Luke Shaw, he’s behind an Aaron Cresswell or an Enda Stevens, or a [Timothy] Castagne or a Matt Targett. He’s way behind [Sergio] Reguilon and [Lucas] Digne, he’s a million miles behind [Ben] Chilwell and [Andy] Robertson. Tierney’s alright, he’s okay, but he’s not going to be the answer to all of Arsenal’s problems yet all the fans think he is.

  Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney’s excellent recent form has led Gunners’ supporters to start comparing him to other left-backs in the Premier League.

  With Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney in such excellent form at the moment, we have decided to assess his Premier League performances, alongside two other prominent left-backs. Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell are also regarded as being the among the best left-sided fullbacks in the league so we have opted to compare their displays alongside Tierney’s.

Arsenal  were this week linked with a 47.5 million euro transfer for Brandt, but instead Dortmund have denied the reports, insisting no move is on the table for the player. Other clubs, including Barcelona and Lyon have also been linked with a move for the player. Sporting director  Michael Zorc  quipped: "A name is constantly being mentioned that actually doesn't play a role in our deliberations at the moment, that should come to an end. "I can only repeat; there is not even the slightest bit of anything on the table. We can't do anything if rumours are constantly being spread that are not true." The 24-year-old joined Dortmund from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019, and has appeared in 46 games for his club, scoring three goals. Brandt has also appeared 35 times for the German national team, scoring three times.
