Arsenal and fellow Premier League side Everton are both reportedly interested in landing West Ham United defender Reece Oxford during the January transfer window, according to a report.
Reece’s future at the London Stadium is undetermined after he was told that senior-team chances would be limited, despite staff at the club believing that the star has a lot of potential.
The likes of Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City are thought to be tracking the 20-year-old talent’s situation, and The Mirror reports that Everton and Arsenal have also now joined the race.
The club are in the transfer market for defensive reinforcements having seen their backline ravaged by injuries in the latest weeks, with Unai Emery identifying Reece – who can play in midfield and defence – as a possible solution.
Another Premier League giants Manchester United have also previously been connected with Reece Oxford, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with Bundesliga giants Borussia Monchengladbach the previous season.
