Arsenal ready to activate £18m exit clause in La Liga central midfielder contract

Premier League side Arsenal are preparing to trigger the £18 million release clause of Sevilla central midfielder Ever Banega, according to a report on Talksport.

The versatile midfielder has worked under Arsenal manager Unai Emery twice in his professional career, first whilst at Valencia and then at Los Murcieloagos fellow La Liga side Sevilla.

Emery rates the Argentina international star very highly and has identified him as a possible target as he looks to strengthen his team for the second half of the campaign.
