Arsenal Receive Injury Boost As Mesut Ozil Returns To Squad Ahead Of Europa League Clash

Arsenal take on Qarabag in the Europa League Match Day 6 clash at the Emirates having already booked a place in the next round.

The Gunners are on a 21 match unbeaten streak in all competitions heading into the game.

Unai Emery was given an injury boost before the game as Mesut Ozil has made a full recovery.

A back problem has ruled the playmaker of Turkish origin out of the last three games and he has not featured in the last five matches in all competitions.

Emery also revealed that he is planning to field Laurent Koscielny who has only played for the under-21s this term after recovering from an Achilles injury last year.

Ozil and Koscielny will made the 18 man squad.

“We are going to use tomorrow some different players coming from the U23s and in our planning is to start playing with Laurent Koscielny,” Emery said.

“We have some players with injuries at centre-back — we are going to decide after tomorrow’s match [whether Sead Kolasinac plays against Southampton]. We are going to see if he can play 90 minutes, we can use another player in this position like Nacho Monreal, Lichtsteiner.
