Mesut Ozil: BBC Pundit Blasts Arsenal Exit Rumour Carriers

Former Stoke City and Tottenham Hotspur striker Garth Crooks has slammed critics of Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil amidst widespread reports linking him with an exit from the club.
Garth Crooks believes that those peddling the rumors that the German is surplus to requirements under the new managerial regime of Unai Emery and that he could be sold in the January transfer window are wide off the mark.
Crooks is a pundit with popular English media outlet BBC and he questioned why Spanish tactician Unai Emery will want to sell the only world class player in his team while he was speaking on the channel.
Recent reports had revealed that the German could leave the Gunners for Italy with Inter Milan keen on a transfer for him.
It was further stated that Arsenal are keen to get his huge salary off their wage bill and that a £25m bid will be enough for any club interested in him.
Mesut Ozil became the most expensive player in the history of Arsenal when he joined Arsenal from European champions Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.
His £42.4m transfer fee has been eclipsed by the transfers of both Alexandre Lacazette and his strike partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Club owner Stan Kroenke has been criticised by most fans for refusing to spend enough money when needed in the transfer market. Following the recent 5-1 humiliation away to Liverpool in the Premier League which exposed most of the team’s serious problems, several fans have been calling for signings to be made this month. However, speaking on transfers at his press conference on Thursday morning, Unai Emery revealed that the club is not financially capable of making any permanent purchases of players at the moment. Thus, the Arsenal boss insists that loans deal will be the Gunners’ best bet in the January transfer windo...
