Arsenal manager Unai Emery is keen on the potential Nicolas Pepe transfer from Lille this January as he seeks signings to bolster his struggling squad.
Despite a decent run earlier this season, the Gunners have not looked at all convincing in their last few games, particularly in their humiliating 5-1 defeat against Liverpool on Saturday.
Pepe would undoubtedly be a fine signing to start with this winter, while the Times also report that Emery is keen to add a centre-back and midfielder to his ranks.
The report adds that, while this is not a priority as such, Emery would also not be too displeased if Mesut Ozil could be sold in order to relieve the club of paying his high wages.
The German playmaker has fallen out of favour at the Emirates Stadium this season, and in truth it’s hard to argue against a player like Pepe coming in as an upgrade.
