Arsenal fans on Twitter miss Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez has almost been at Old Trafford for a whole year now, and whilst the way he left Arsenal was bitter, it hasn’t completely overshadowed their sweet memories of his time at the club. It’s no secret that the Gunners miss the star, and they’d do anything to have him back at The Emirates and in his prime again.

Poor form and injury problems have limited Alexis Sanchez to an abysmal four goals in 32 appearances for Manchester United in what has almost been his first full year at the club. That stat is in stark contrast to his goalscoring rates at Arsenal, where the Chilean found himself netting 80 goals in his 166 appearances despite the fact he was often used as a winger as opposed to his now ore natural centre-forward role.

In Sanchez’s final full season at The Emirates, he really set the Premier League alight. The 2016/17 season saw him score 24 goals and register 11 assists in just 34 games in the league, and if they could have someone grabbing those sorts of numbers in their current side then the chances are they would find themselves doing a little bit better than sitting 6th in the league as rank outsiders for the top four.
