Arsenal are ‘willing to close’ Denis Suarez’s signing and Barcelona could receive offers in the coming days, according to the Mirror.
It is believed the winger could have already played his final Barcelona game after spending two and a half seasons at the Catalan outfit.
Ahead of last night’s clash with Getafe, Suarez travelled with the squad and was expected to be named on the bench by Barca chief Ernesto Valverde.
Barca have clarified they do not want him to leave but they will be willing to accept a £20million bid from the Gunners in coming days.
It is understood Arsenal are aiming to put together a loan deal that will lead to a permanent move in the summer.
There is a buy-out clause in Suarez’s contract, which is standard in deals in Spanish football, but Barcelona do not want to see him go.
Suarez is also attracting interest from the Serie A, but Sport mentions his desire is to play in the Premier League and his move from Barcelona to London is ‘approaching’.
On Sunday the same newspaper said Arsenal is now the ‘only possibility’ for a January transfer, but they also said the club ‘cannot invest’ in a full transfer this month so a loan could be an option.
