Nasri wildly celebrates assist against former club Arsenal to rub salt in Gunners’ wounds during West Ham clash
SAMIR NASRI came back to haunt his old club playing a huge role in West Ham’s vital win against Arsenal.
The Frenchman was making his Premier League return for the Hammers – ironically his last game in the English top flight was for Manchester City in a 3-1 win against his current club in August 2016.
Nasri,31, is on a short-term deal in East London - he looked sharp and full of running for the Clarets and was on hand to calmly assist Declan Rice for his first-ever goal on 47 minutes which proved to be the winner at the London Stadium.
The former French international is desperate to repay the faith shown in him by boss Manuel Pellegrini who has thrown him a career lifeline after his six-month doping ban.
And his excellent performance has set social media alight.
Imran_MUFC tweeted: "Samir Nasri has already got the same amount of Premier League assists in 48 minutes this season as Mesut Ozil does in 981 minutes!
