Offer made: Arsenal on the brink of completing surprise signing

Unai Emery has led Arsenal to an impressive campaign in the Premier League but the Spanish tactician has a huge task of fixing his leaky back-line.
While the fanbase are eagerly waiting the signing of a defender, Arsenal are already in the market but to sign a midfielder.
According to UOL, Arsenal have made a bid for out-of-favour Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira.
Since breaking into the first team of Manchester United in 2014, Pereira has struggled to nick a permanent place in the first team of the Red Devils.
He spent last season on loan at Valencia, where he featured in 23 La Liga games and impressed. That was not enough for Mourinho to hand him a starting berth in his squad.
United have changed manager but the Brazilian appear not to be in the plans of the interim boss of the Red Devil Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Rife reports have indicated that the Brazilian wants out of the fortress of Old Trafford and he could end up lacing his boots for the Gunners.
Arsenal are preparing for the imminent departure of Aaron Ramsey and Pereira has been identified by the club as the perfect replacement for the outgoing playmaker.
Although United want to keep the player within their fold, they are likely going to allow him leave if the offer made for him is right.

Emery confirms worrying transfer news for Arsenal on Thursday

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has confirmed some worrying news for Arsenal fans with less than three weeks now left in the January transfer window.   The Arsenal boss managed to sign several players during the summer but most of the deals were for a cheap price, significantly lesser than what rivals Chelsea and Liverpool were paying for their new signings. Club owner Stan Kroenke has been criticised by most fans for refusing to spend enough money when needed in the transfer market. Following the recent 5-1 humiliation away to Liverpool in the Premier League which exposed most of the team’s serious problems, several fans have been calling for signings to be made this month. However, speaking on transfers at his press conference on Thursday morning, Unai Emery revealed that the club is not financially capable of making any permanent purchases of players at the moment. Thus, the Arsenal boss insists that loans deal will be the Gunners’ best bet in the January transfer windo...
