Ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger delivers his take on Paul Pogba's displays for Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season
Arsene Wenger believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been able to get the best out of Paul Pogba at Manchester United despite the midfielder’s “lack of discipline”.
Solskjaer has been earning lots of praise for the impact he has had since he was brought in as Jose Mourinho’s successor at Old Trafford on an interim basis until the end of the season back in December.
Manchester United’s brilliant recent displays have been a far cry from the stuttering performances under Mourinho before Christmas, although the Red Devils did suffer a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday night.
Mourinho seemingly struggled to get Pogba to perform consistently at a high level at Old Trafford during his spell in charge of the club.
And Wenger believes that’s because Solskjaer has found a way to bring the best out of the French midfielder in recent weeks.
