Everton favourites to sign £30m-rated Arsenal transfer target

Everton have reportedly moved ahead of Unai Emery’s Arsenal in the £30m battle for Getafe centre-back Djene Dakonam.

Toffees manager Marco Silva fears he isn’t going to be able to keep Chelsea star Kurt Zouma at Goodison Park.

So Marco has turned to 27-year-old Djene who had an outstanding campaign as Getafe finished fifth in La Liga.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery is also interested in the services of Dakonam.

But Unai’s transfer budget is a modest £45 million and the Gunners chief believes he’s about to be priced out of the market by the Toffees’ intervention.
