Lucas Vazquez would be a good fit for the Gunners

Share The North London giants are working with a reduced transfer budget this summer after failing to secure a return to Champions League football in Emery’s debut season. Arsenal conceded over 50 goals in the Premier League alone in the 2018/19 campaign, so Emery’s emphasis will be on bringing in defensive reinforcements. However, that shouldn’t close the club’s door on signing forwards this summer. While Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang formed a lethal partnership up front, none of the other attacking players contributed with assists and goals consistently this past term. Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan had unconvincing campaigns, while Mesut Ozil’s disastrous 2018/19 means Emery is planning to offload him this summer. Share The Gunners clearly need more quality out wide if they are to improve under Emery and Lucas Vazquez would be a fine fit at the Emirates. He possesses blistering pace and incredible dribbling skills, while...

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has assured Gunners fans he is going nowhere this summer.

Torreira recently sparked transfer rumours that he could return to Italy this summer after admitting he is not enjoying life in London. AC Milan and other Serie A clubs have been strongly linked but the Uruguay star said: “Nobody has got in touch with me. Today I’m in the Premier League and happy to be part of Arsenal. “Adapting was not easy, but I only think about the team. I’m happy to be there.”

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG has reportedly “said yes” to the idea of making a shock move to Manchester United.

Chelsea agree ban-bypassing €50M transfer, contract to be signed on Saturday

Chelsea have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for the permanent transfer of midfielder Mateo Kovacic, according to Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio. Kovacic spent the 2018/19 campaign on-loan at Chelsea, failing to find the back of the net during any of his 51 appearances throughout the course of the season. He has polarised opinion among Chelsea fans, with one argument being about his lack of effectivity, the other that he could be worth persevering with. Chelsea appear to hold the latter opinion, with Di Marzio reporting late last night that we have agreed a €50M package to sign him permanently. It’s mentioned in the report that Kovacic will put pen-to-paper on his contract on Saturday, with Chelsea able to bypass the ban to get the deal done. Frank Lampard, should he officially be appointed Chelsea manager, will no doubt be delighted to have a midfielder of Kovacic’s quality in the squad.

Maurizio Sarri felt the time was right to return to Italy after leaving Chelsea following just one season to take charge of Serie A champions juventus.

The Blues agreed a compensation package with the Italian club, understood to be in excess of £5million, for Sarri who signed a three-year deal with Chelsea when appointed last summer. Sarri revealed the opportunity to move back to his homeland was one of the telling factors behind the move. “The Premier League was a great experience, but in the latter half (of the season), I felt professional and personal needs to return to Italy,” Sarri said.

Manchester United have announced midfielder Juan Mata has signed a new two-year contract.

The 31-year-old Spaniard, who moved to Old Trafford from Chelsea in 2014, was scheduled to be out of contract at the end of this month. Mata said: “It is a real honour to continue to represent this amazing club and our incredible fans. I have been at Manchester United for five years and I am proud to call Old Trafford my home. “I am looking forward to working with Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] and his fantastic coaching staff; the vision that they have for the club is truly exciting and I am so happy that I will be a part of that.”

Kyle Walker has signed a two-year contract extension with Manchester city until 2024

City signed Walker from Tottenham in 2017 for £50m (add-ons included) – a record for an English player at the time and the joint world-record for a defender, matching the fee Paris Saint-Germain paid Chelsea for David Luiz. Walker was part of a stellar crop of Pep Guardiola signings in the summer of 2017, alongside Bernardo Silva, Ederson, Benjamin Mendy and Danilo. Since joining, Walker has won back-to-back Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups and a Community Shield.

Assistant head coach John Terry has signed a contract extension at Aston Villa.

The 38-year-old's new deal will keep him at the club until 2021 and boss Dean Smith is delighted the former Chelsea and England captain has prolonged his stay at Villa Park. Smith said: “I am really pleased that JT has extended his current deal as he is a pleasure to work with. We have had a successful start to our Villa coaching careers and JT has been instrumental in joining myself, Richard O'Kelly and Neil Cutler. “He has complimented the team that we have and I have no doubts he will go on to be a top manager in the years to come. “Our focus now is on the coming season and to try to continue the progress we have had in the past eight months.”

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will join Manchester United in a deal worth £55m, according to reports.

The Crystal Palace full-back shone last season, making 38 appearances and grabbing four assists. Meanwhile United conceded 54 goals – the club's highest total in 40 years. And according to the Daily Record, a deal has now been agreed.

Romelu Lukaku has agreed personal terms with Inter Milan.

The Manchester United striker has a deal in principle to land £180,000-a-week wages when a fee is agreed between the clubs. According to The Sun, Lukaku will be allowed to leave for £75million after losing his place under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Bayern Munich are set to hijack Manchester City’s pursuit

The 22-year-old Spaniard has been strongly linked with a move to the Etihad this summer, with City looking the best-placed club to sign him. However, Bayern are now ready to rival the Premier League champions with a £70m bid.

Chelsea could lose full back option if transfer clause is activated

Chelsea have plenty of talented young players on their books and losing one is no big deal. However with a transfer ban in place, every squad place is precious, and we have to think very carefully about how we deal with each and every loan player. Jay Dasilva is a great example. He’s on loan at Bristol City at the moment, and their manager that the team had an option to buy the Blue whenever they want. They are willing to trigger that clause, so it will all come down to Jay and what he wants to do. If he likes the way things are going, he can make his move there permanent. At the moment he still hasn’t done that however, showing he’s not certain about his next step. The alternative is returning to Chelsea to presumably be loaned out again, maybe to a bigger club. Maybe some more strong performances at the ongoing U21 Euros will change things. He could attract attention from bigger teams. It might even be that he’s waiting for a new Chelsea manager to be app...

Concern for Chelsea as agent leaves door open for ace to seal Sarri reunion at Juventus

Concern for Chelsea as agent leaves door open for ace to seal Sarri reunion at Juventus Jorginho has become one of Maurizio Sarri’s most trusted figures in recent years and it’s reported that he could follow him to Juventus from Chelsea this summer. The pair have now enjoyed spells together at Napoli and Chelsea, where the 27-year-old has been a fundamental figure in Sarri’s midfield to set the tempo and help dictate possession to implement his preferred style of play. and how they’ve worked together at two different clubs already, it was arguably to be expected that speculation would link the pair with a third stint together at a different club. Sarri has been confirmed as the new Juventus boss, ending his stint at Chelsea just a year after arriving from Napoli. Now, Jorginho’s agent has refused to rule out the possibility of a reunion in Turin, although he was also keen to stress that his client is happy at Stamford Bridge and so a stay this summer can’t be ruled o...

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar The race is heating up for Neymar. With Paris Saint-Germain reportedly willing to part with the world's most expensive player, two LaLiga giants are set to go head-to-head. Will Neymar end up at former club Barcelona or bitter Spanish rivals Real Madrid. AC Milan set to hijack Arsenal move for 26-year-old Serie A star

AC Milan have reportedly overtaken their competitors in the hunt for Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout and could quickly get a summer deal over the line. Veretout’s displays for Fiorentina over the course of the campaign have made the player a man in demand in the summer transfer market. Arsenal, AS Roma and Napoli have been strongly connected with the Frenchman in the latest days, though Veretout’s entourage insists that Viola’s lack of a sporting director has been holding up matters. Rossoneri however have hit the accelerator and overtaken the stiff competition for Jordan, according to an Italian broadcaster  Sportitalia . They are desperate to sign the former Aston Villa player and are rated as having a realistic chance of landing the player soon. The Milan-based outfit are targeting a host of stars as they bid to quickly reinforce their roster. Sampdoria duo Dennis Praet and Joachim Andersen, two further players on Arsenal’s transfer radar, are also w...

Everton favourites to sign £30m-rated Arsenal transfer target

Everton favourites to sign £30m-rated Arsenal transfer target Everton have reportedly moved ahead of Unai Emery’s Arsenal in the £30m battle for Getafe centre-back Djene Dakonam. Toffees manager Marco Silva fears he isn’t going to be able to keep Chelsea star Kurt Zouma at Goodison Park. So Marco has turned to 27-year-old Djene who had an outstanding campaign as Getafe finished fifth in La Liga. Arsenal manager Unai Emery is also interested in the services of Dakonam. But Unai’s transfer budget is a modest £45 million and the Gunners chief believes he’s about to be priced out of the market by the Toffees’ intervention.

Arsenal Concerned Recent Lucas Torreira Comments Could Lead to Increase in Interest From Serie A

The 23-year-old joined the Gunners from Serie A side Sampdoria last summer for £27m but recently confirmed he has a number of gripes with London life. Torreira's comments raised plenty of eyebrows after he revealed he preferred living in Italy to England, admitting he has struggled with the language barrier and the cloudy weather. According to  the Evening Standard, Mi lan would be the favourites to sign the Uruguay international if he decided to try and force through a move, although there has been no indication at this stage that he will do so.  Torreira flourished under Marco Giampaolo's guidance during their time together at Sampdoria and the 51-year-old has just taken the reins at San Siro. Torreira was on Napoli's radar last summer after Jorginho departed for Chelsea and they are also keeping an eye on the situation.  Arsenal manager Unai Emery is reluctant to lose Torreira, who he conside...

Welbeck still enjoying his holiday despite imminent Arsenal release

Danny Welbeck’s Arsenal days are quickly coming to its conclusion. The Gunners have already officially confirmed the 28-year-old will be departing the Emirates on 30 June as his contract won’t be renewed. Still, despite this somewhat expected news, Welbeck has been enjoying his holiday without the imminent departure from the club dampening his good spirits. He took to Instagram to show it in his latest snap, depicting him relaxing on the beach side with smiles all around, as it should be. Welbeck’s departure from the club was solidified by a rather small amount of appearances throughout the season, mostly due to injuries hampering him the whole time. In  2018/19 he was out for a total of 200 days .
