Arsenal boss Unai Emery has 'problem' with ONE player - Lee Dixon

There’s an accountability now and training, you’ve got to go in there, you’ve got to perform, you’ve got to work hard and do all these things. I’m not saying they weren’t doing that under Arsene Wenger, it’s just a different regime. I think the club had gone a little bit soft. “He’s come in and he’s made them a little bit stronger, a little bit firmer in training. And that’s where it counts. You can’t train soft and play hard, you’ve got to be putting it in from Monday to Friday and I think that’s happening on the training pitch. “But he’s still got a bunch of players that he’s inherited, he’s still gonna need two or three windows to get his players in. And the Ozil thing is now, he wants to put him in the team for the creativity, but he’s left him out for a reason. “If he comes back in the side and the same reason is still there, then he’s got to leave him out again otherwise he loses all credibility in the dressing room. “He’s right on a knife edge now, but he’s got to be ...

North London giants Arsenal have reportedly turned to Argentine international winger Cristian Pavon in their bid to find a replacement for the injured Danny Welbeck in their squad. According to the report from the Daily Express via theweek, Arsenal’s head of recruitment Sven Mslintat is eyeing a move for the 22-year-old ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January. Cristian Pavon plays for Argentine giants Boca Juniors at the moment. He has repeatedly been linked with a move to North London. Pavon was linked with a transfer to Arsenal in the summer after he shone for Argentina at the World Cup tournament in Russia. He was part of the Argentina squad that failed to impress at the World Cup. Pavon and Argentina were dumped out of the tournament in the first knockout stage after they were beaten 4-3 by eventual winners France. Cristian Pavon would be a direct replacement for the injured Danny Welbeck. Former Sunderland and Manc...

Is this the clue Mesut Ozil is set to start in Europa League clash?

And Ozil may have just hinted that he’s starting the game. The 30-year-old posted a picture on Instagram of him posing with a group of his team-mates at training. How Arsenal Could Sign N’Zonzi Revealed

AS Roma midfielder Steven N’Zonzi is a transfer target for North London giants Arsenal ahead of this summer’s transfer window according to the publication from Italian media outlet Calciomercato. It was revealed that Arsenal have made AS Roma sporting director Monchi their top target for the same role though former club winger Marc Overmars has also been linked with the job. Monchi played a big role in the transfer of N’Zonzi from Spanish La Liga club Sevilla to AS Roma after the player followed Monchi from Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium to the Stadio Olimpico. Steven N’Zonzi could follow Monchi from AS Roma to Arsenal if the club’s sporting director leaves the Champions League campaigners for the Gunners this summer. Both parties were part of the Sevilla team that won the Europa League while Monchi was the sporting director at the Andalusian outfit. Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to strength...

Arsene Wenger delivers his verdict on Paul Pogba at Man United

Ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger delivers his take on Paul Pogba's displays for Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season Arsene Wenger believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been able to get the best out of Paul Pogba at Manchester United despite the midfielder’s “lack of discipline”. Solskjaer has been earning lots of praise for the impact he has had since he was brought in as Jose Mourinho’s successor at Old Trafford on an interim basis until the end of the season back in December. Manchester United’s brilliant recent displays have been a far cry from the stuttering performances under Mourinho before Christmas, although the Red Devils did suffer a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last 16 on Tuesday night. Mourinho seemingly struggled to get Pogba to perform consistently at a high level at Old Trafford during his spell in charge of the club. And Wenger believes that’s because Solskjaer has found a way to bring the best out of the F...

Arsenal receive a massive injury boost right before they take on BATE: But will Emery risk him?

Arsenal take on BATE in the Europa League Round of 32 clash on Thursday and right now the Gunners find themselves in a bit of a hole. The London outfit shockingly lost the first leg 1-0 away from home and despite fielding a pretty strong team, Emery men were unable to break down BATE. Things took an even more bad turn for Arsenal when Alexandre Lacazette was sent off late in the second half ruling him out of the second leg. One good news for the manager though is the fact that almost all of his first-team players have returned back from injuries – barring the long term absentees.

Michael Owen states his prediction for Arsenal v BATE Borisov

Michael Owen is backing Arsenal to secure a dominant victory over BATE Borisov to book their place in the Europa League last 16 on Thursday night. The north London side head into the game on the back of their disappointing 1-0 loss in Belarus in the first leg last week as they look to turn around the tie and keep alive their hopes of reaching the next round. Arsenal had the weekend off to prepare for the clash as they bid to try and keep alive their hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League by winning the Europa League this season. It has been something of a mixed start under new manager Unai Emery as the Spaniard gets used to leading the north London side. Former Liverpool FC star Owen is tipping the Gunners to claim the victory and progress to the next round when they host their Belarusian opponents on Thursday night.
